Modern society is developing very fast. Despite the conveniences, many people feel an emptiness in their hearts. They need to have some beauty in their lives.

I want to make this world beautiful through the natural beauty of my sculptures to save people from the stresses and anxieties of the modern life, and transport them to a remote, romantic world of dreams. I want to spread my works to the world to comfort people, and give them peace in their hearts. I believe that beautiful art can relax one’s heart, and regenerate the spirit of modern cities. Consequently, I fabricate metals to show people how beautiful and how soft metals can be.

I am inspired by the ways in which vines in gardens climb the walls. I can feel two sides of their strength. They look like weak-stemmed plants: slender, long, and fragile. But the reason they survive is through their strength and persistence. They climb brick walls; they even penetrate surfaces with their tiny tips. The astounding varieties of vines, twist, twine, creep, and create the beauty of gardens everywhere. They are vigorous, and grow rapidly. It is as if these vines reflect our lives, especially my own personal background. I was raised in a big family. The vines always remind me of the unbreakable bonds of my big family and the strong connections we have with each other. Like the vines, which have such a strong life with thin stems, I attempt to show viewers two sides with my sculptures: a soft and rough feeling together, delicate and wild, beautiful and ugly, and weak and strong simultaneously.
